Hop Bets

Hop Bets
Hop Bets are placed at the boxman's discretion somewhere above the prop bets and to the side of the place bet/come bet area.

Definition: Hop bets are proposition bets but I gave them their own page for clarity. Whatever combination you bet on will win or lose on the next roll of the dice. So if you say I would like a hard eight on the hop you are betting that both dice will land on a four (hard eight) on the very next roll. Hardway's on the hop pay like a 2 or 12 (31 for 1). If you bet a five-three (5-3) on the hop you are saying that on the next roll of the dice the eight will come in the combination 5-3. If the shooter rolls a 6-2, even though it is an eight, that hop bet will lose. Any off-numbered combination pays like a 3 or 11 (16 for 1). Previous PageNext Page
