I have created this novel online for all to enjoy. I have combined my personal experiences and the experiences of others into the life of a single craps dealer. Hopefully this will give you a general idea about the life of a craps dealer in Las Vegas. The stories from my life are true and hopefully the stories from others are as accurate as mine. Now considering this is a novel a few of the experiences will be embellished a little to add life and interest to the story. The range of dealers are from ones that started their careers within the last year and others who were dealing as far back as the '50s and '60s.
The setting will start from the '70s when dealers went table for table (they kept their own tips). Nowadays all the casinos split 24hrs. The problem with this is a lot of talent and imagination to get players to like them and come up with something up front has been lost. The better dealers in customer service are no longer rewarded with their efforts. They have to share their tokes equally with people who chase players away and just want to stand dead.
Not very fare is it? One other thing I will iterate on is drugs were a common part of dealers lifestyles. It was common place for a bunch of dealers on their breaks to run to the casino next door and order a shot and a beer. Well I'm going to keep this introduction short, so let's get on with the story.
